When it comes to weather in Florida, us Floridians as we know have it pretty good. Florida is the “Sunshine State” after all! So whenever an overcast day coincides with a day of a planned session I know that it can sometimes bring a bit of stress with it. However I am here to tell you that overcast days are actually very much our friend! Think of the clouds as a giant diffusor in the sky, creating even light without any harsh shadows.
I was so happy when this beautiful mama decided to keep our scheduled session date. The Bustillo Family is a First Year Collective client. At the end of their collection we will be putting together a beautiful album to celebrate their daughter’s first year. Documenting bump to baby is always so special.
We had so much fun together in a beautiful open field in Miami. Mom was such a natural when it came to posing and was so easy for me to photograph. And the gorgeous two piece outfit you see her wearing – her mom made! I loved that special touch and meaning it added to the session.
And when the overcast day decided to turn into rain, well we certainly made the most of it!
