Nothing makes me realize quicker than my Collective clients just how fast the first year goes by. I can hardly believe how big they have grown when they come in for their sitter session. Mom and myself always awe in how time truly is a thief – even amidst a pandemic. Sweet little April was in my Miami studio for her newborn photos recently so I was excited to see her again at her big six month sitter session at our Baby Photography Miami studio. And of course, her session was nothing short of adorable!  We took some solo shots of her in the studio while mom was getting professional hair and makeup done. I love how her curious nature pokes out in these images, alongside her tongue!

Sitter sessions are sometimes overlooked but they are some of my absolute favorite types of sessions to capture. Mom & Dad have eased into their routine a bit and the sessions go with such ease. After all the star of the show is ready to show you some of their tricks. Some of my personal favorites being toe grabs, scrunch nose & big smile. Babies have developed so much character by this milestone that it’s always so much fun to document. Although usually called a six months session, I like to call them sitter sessions and capture them anywhere between 6-8 months to ensure that the baby is sitting up and we can capture a variety of poses.

After mom was done getting pampered in studio we headed out to the field. Except this time we chose to go a different direction and headed toward the water. It was so pretty and I love how these images turned out! Mom & Dad are putting together a first year album and selecting favorites from each session. I love that April will have this special album to treasure all her life.

I am currently booking sessions three months in advance. For maternity and newborn sessions, it is best to book your session during your 2nd trimester. Due to the custom nature of portrait sessions, I take a limited number of clients each month. All clients have access to the studio wardrobe where they can borrow outfits for their photography session. Signature Sessions include hair and makeup.
