About The One Tribe
2200 Biscayne Blvd, 2nd Floor, Miami, FL 33137
The One Tribe is a unique service to Miami, giving mothers support and education for their pregnancy and parenting journey. They created an integrative, expert-led community program that offers everything from education to wellness for moms. The One Tribe was founded by Emilie Fritz Veloso. She is a mother who strives to help deal with the overwhelming amounts of information thrown at expectant mothers. So, she created a centralized destination where moms-to-be can find all the information they need.
Services
The One Tribe features experts and partners who work together to offer birth preparation and parenting classes. From movement classes to wellness services, the One Tribe meets women at every point of the motherhood journey. My Mom Tribe is an 8-week journey that supports and empowers women in the early stages of motherhood. It gives them a safe and inviting space to learn and share with others. This is a wonderful group to connect with other local moms and support one another.
Movement classes at One Tribe include BabyMomma Booty Camp, a high-energy, fun workout designed for all levels and stages, including pregnancy and postpartum. These classes include sculpting, resistance training, and dance. This is a wonderful class for all women to feel empowered and strong, and modifications are always available for movements so you can go at your own pace.
Lactation support is available through support groups that are friendly and open. Discussions are facilitated by an IBCLC, and topics include postpartum recovery, feeding, burping, gas and colic, newborn behavior, pain and discomfort, and soothing fussy babies. Pregnant moms are welcome to join this group to prepare themselves for the breastfeeding journey.
Specialty
One Tribe offers a parent and child play group called RIE Parent-Child Play Group for infants and toddlers and their caregivers, following Magda Gerber’s approach to education. This child-centered parenting class empowers parents to provide safe, supportive, respectful care for their young children. This class is geared for families of infants from 7-24 months old.
Hypnobirthing classes are also offered, and this class uses techniques that involve gentle birthing. Moms learn relaxation techniques and visualization strategies to allow them to give birth in a calm, gentle, safe manner.
One Tribe also offers a number of fitness classes, such as MomStrong, a prenatal and postnatal fitness class that keeps moms active during and after pregnancy. Workouts focus on accommodating the ever-changing body and post-pregnancy recovery. Baby and Me Yoga is a great way to exercise with your little one, with specially designed classes that focus on core strength, toning, posture, and easing discomfort.
