Services

Mom’s Breast Friend offers lactation consultant home visits in Palm Beach and Broward. The consultants come to your house for privacy and convenience. If you’re experiencing breastfeeding issues, sore nipples, difficulty latching, gas, colic, or bottle refusal, lactation consultants can help. They offer support, including functional oral assessment, latch assessment, positional practice, weighted feeds, pump and flange sizing, goal setting, care planning, and texting and email follow-up.

Each visit is between 90 minutes and 2 hours and includes many different assessments. These in-home visits are the perfect way for breastfeeding moms to receive the care and support they need right in the comfort of their own homes. Travel fees may be added to the session fee, as well as fees for additional time needed.

Specialty

Mom’s Breast Friend also offers Tummy Time/BodyWork Sessions. These are one-hour appointments that help parents begin tummy time with their baby, even if your little one “doesn’t like” tummy time. These visits include a full oral evaluation, bodywork, and suck training. It also includes a Ninni Pacifier for babies to use to build oral strength if needed. Multiple visits might be encouraged to follow the baby’s progress.

There are also support groups offered. One group that meets frequently is the Motherhood, Milk, and Tummy Time: A New Mom Support Group. Each meeting lasts 90 minutes and is a great place to enjoy community and support. Classes are led by Sasha Lansing, who gives advice on all kinds of topics related to parenthood. This group is designed for parents of babies from birth through age 1. Bring a blanket to lay your baby on, and dress in comfortable clothing as everyone sits on the floor during class.

The Breastfeeding Basics prenatal class is designed to help parents prepare for breastfeeding success, pumping, and bottle feeding. It also covers what to expect in the early weeks of breastfeeding, as well as when to reach out for help and newborn care basics such as when to begin tummy time.
