Prenatal Yoga Classes With Empowering Benefits at Yoga Nest

Sep 21, 2023

Yoga supports women during pregnancy by reducing stress and anxiety and lowering blood pressure. Studies have shown that improving flexibility and strength during pregnancy can reduce labor times. Yoga at The Nest in Brevard County supports women in all stages of their pregnancy.

About Yoga at the Nest

The Nest opened in 2017 with two Davie and Cooper City yoga studios. This woman-owned and operated center was the idea of Ifat Kent, mother of 3, created from her passion for helping women. She has experienced birth in various environments and works to help you in your pregnancy. Through prenatal yoga, participants will learn breathing techniques to use during labor and delivery.

Services

The Nest offers prenatal and postpartum yoga classes in a judge-free environment, allowing you to connect with your body and your baby. Would you prefer to practice yoga in your own space? Virtual classes allow you to practice yoga in any space you desire. In-person classes are available at either the Davie or Cooper City studio.

The childbirth education class is taught by Ifat virtually or in person at her studio. The class includes one private session to answer any questions about childbirth. Ifat has over 20 years of experience supporting mothers through pregnancy as a doula. She provides doula services for mothers with emotional and physical support during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Before you start any fitness during pregnancy, it is recommended to consult with your physician. When you are ready to sign up, you can register online. Before attending a class, you must complete the intake form and emergency contact information and sign a waiver. When attending a class, you will want to bring water, a yoga mat, a yoga block, and yoga straps. If you don’t know where or what these items are, there is a props section on the Yoga Nest website.

Specialty

Are you interested in becoming a certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor? Ifat teaches a Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training class. The certification includes 85 hours total of training time. The Nest also has options for Fertility Yoga and Mommy and Me Yoga workshops.

The Mommy and Me workshops are a great way to meet other moms and babies in the area. The Nest has yoga workshops for partner workouts, so bring your other half to these classes. Partner workouts are a fun way to bond and relax with your partner as you prepare for your baby to arrive.
